Giorgio Melchiori Grant 2010 – Award winners

The James Joyce Italian Foundation is pleased to announce that many applications were received regarding the grant in memory of Giorgio Melchiori.
For this reason, the JJIF Executive Committee made the decision to award not one but two grants amounting to €400 each.
The applicants who met with all the requirements – which included being a fully paid-up member of the JJIF – were: Maddalena Dal Porto, Jonathan McCreedy,Teresa Parente and Federico Sabatini.
After a thorough examination of the individual achievements and study projects of the
candidates, the JJIF Executive Committee declares that the winners of the two grants are:

  • Jonathan McCreedy, PhD student at the University of Ulster
  • Federico Sabatini, PhD student at Turin University.

The two winners should send an email of acceptance to the James Joyce Italian Foundation,
including their bank details (IBAN and BIC SWIFT code) so that the grant may be accredited to
their accounts.
